Dr. Schenk's B&O - B&M hybrid HO scale layout
Now relocated into its 4th home, the layout is set in
the mid 1950's in the Northeast. I grew up near Boston, and am yet drawn to the
color scheme of the B&O. The latest move last summer sadly meant cannibalizing
three major sections of the layout. The good news is that the new space is no longer in the
garage, nor does it have to share space with the furnace and water heater!
These
pictures include three of my favorite structures from South River Modelworks. A
fourth is underway, as is the Red Hook Wharf coastal scene from FOS Scale
Models.
The layout will be one of many open to the public for viewing
this summer when the National Model Railroading Association comes to Atlanta in
July for its annual convention.
